I have not said anything about the pets in a while, so I thought they deserved a post.
We have decided that Clara will be hiding a lot when Jack becomes mobile. Whenever she walks through the room he stops whatever he is doing and stares at her. Of course, she is smart enough to stay out of arm reach. I think she senses that he would really like to get a hold of that tail.
Even though she did not initially show as much interest in Jack as Homer did, I think Frankie will be good with him. She gets really upset whenever he cries. Last week, on a particularly grumpy day, she showed her frustration over his crying by baring her teeth. Don't worry, she was not going to hurt him. The teeth were bared at me. It was as if she was blaming me for making him cry. She also does not seem to mind when Jack is "playing" with her. He likes to grab on to her--especially her ears. Whenever he does this she either patiently ignores him until he stops or gives him big kisses on the nose.

Didge came over last weekend to play with Homer. I tried to get a picture of them playing together but none turned out. They were either a black and brown blur, or the camera was so slow that one of them would leave the frame of the picture by the time the camera was done taking the picture. This was the only picture I could get of them playing together. (Homer is guarding the little red ball.)

This cute little animal likes to stick everything within reach into his mouth and gnaw on it with his two new teeth while his rosy, chubby cheeks stick out.
