Crawlspace

I started a post earlier in the week, but I never got around to it. Perhaps I have been too busy chasing after Jack. He finally decided to start crawling last week. He has had the ability and know-how for a while but, as previously reported, he preferred rolling. But he decided to show off last week when Uncle Jesse came over for lunch. He took his customary three or four "crawls" (steps?), which were followed by his dropping down and rolling to his destination. But he just kept on crawling. He stopped and a puzzled look came over his face. We could see the wheels turning in his head as he realized that by crawling he could get to his destination via a direct path and sooner. Since that point he has not rolled everywhere. Our past week has consisted over very little toy-playing. Instead, he spends the day crawling furiously to the couch or coffee table, cruising until he finds something he is not allowed to have, getting mad and telling me "Nenenenene" after I say no, crawling across the room to the his toys, playing for five minutes (or less), and then repeating the above process. He has figured out which places/items are "Nonos" so, naturally, he makes beelines towards these places. Luckily, our living room is "sunken" and he has yet to figure out how to escape. But he is getting close. Look out world!
