Jack's least favorite food? Brussel Sprouts. He has tried them twice, and both times he made an awful face and frantically began wiping any sprout bits off his tongue. We had to leave the room so that he did not see us laughing.

Favorite food experience? S'mores. (Followed closely by a big mound of ketchup.)

We went to the Ann Arbor Art Fair last weekend. Kate enjoyed it, but I found it to be a miserable experience. There were too many people to enjoy anything. My favorite part was the block of non-profit organization booths. It was by far the least crowded. That and there was a booth proudly promising (with multiple exclamation points) that if we returned tomorrow afternoon we could meet Delta Burke. Uh...

There was also a booth ran by an Ann Arbor Naturist group. They were advocating for more nude beaches. Their slogan: "Other issues may be more important, but they aren't as much fun!" The booth was ran by two large hairy men. Uh...

Jack's new favorite TV show is Bob the Builder. He gets angry when I don't let him watch "Bob-bob," as he calls it. His favorite character is Piltchard the Cat.

Cat's are second on the favorite animal chain, behind 'ish of course. I think it is because Clara is the one pet in the house that always manages to evade him. When he is looking for her, he wanders around the house calling, in a high-pitched voice, "diddlydiddlydiddlydiddly." For those of you that do not speak toddler-ese, that would be "Here kittykittykitty." Clara ignores his call.

"Diddlydiddlydiddly" can also mean "Tickletickletickle," depending on the context.

A Giant Water Bug found its way into our house this morning. I don't think I have ever heard Kate scream so loudly. She grabbed Jack and ran into the other room screaming "Kill it! Kill it!" It was rather intimidating. I wanted to take a picture, but Kate wouldn't let me. It was about the size of an adult mouse.

Elle makes the most melodramatic gestures when she's sound asleep!
Kate, I would have screamed and ran from the bug, too. I'm glad your mothering instincts kicked in enough that you rescued the boy from it ... though he probably would have been happy to see such a bug!
