Jack had Pinkeye this week. Will this boy ever be healthy?
Both Kate and I were flabbergasted this weekend when, after I said "1-2-3-4" (I don't remember why), Jack chimed in with "fi, sic, sev!" Huh, I guess he knows his numbers.

Why Jack makes us laugh:
We no longer have a dog named Homer. No, he is now called "Homos." (Occasionally "Homus.")
While listening to the radio the other night, Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" came on. Every time Tom Petty sang the chorus, Jack would sing/shout, "I Free!" holding out the word "free" much like Petty does.
This morning Jack climbed on top of his swing set in the basement, which looks vaguely ship-like with a wheel and telescope (and also castle-like...) and shouted, "I a Pire! ARRRRR!"
He had just watched the Backyardigans pirate episode and apparently felt inspired.

Good! I forgot that I originally was going to name the post "Captain Jack We-wa" (He's been calling himself Dack We-wa lately.)
