Homer's Odyssey

I realized I have not had a post dedicated to the animals in a while. As usual, we took the dogs with us to Greenville. Homer was in rare form and thoroughly enjoyed himself, running around and playing with creatures big and small.

Unlike Jack, Homer had not qualms about hanging out with the cows. (When he was a puppy, he always tried playing with the bulls. He's a tad brighter now. A tad.)

Meeting Kate's Parents' new puppy. (Trixie? It has had several names in two weeks, and Trixie was it while we were there.)
Despite the 120 pound size difference, they got along rather well. She became Homer's little sidekick for the weekend and helped him chase barn cats. (I know, this would have been a better picture if the cat was there.)
Here, he displays what we call "stupid tongue" as he runs with his boy.
Worn out and relaxing with his boy.
Frankie helped chase cats, too. But she was not very impressed with the new puppy.

Did she feel she threatened by its cuteness?

My pup's name is Trixie too. It is a cheerful name. (Glynis)
