Watching What We Say

Last Friday, in a moment of frustration, I said something to Jack I probably should not have. He was getting some dog treats out of the pantry (for the dogs, not him), and I told him "No" two or three times. But he got the bag anyway and tried to open it. Frustrated, I asked him, "Jackson, do you hear me? Are you ignoring me or are you deaf?"
I know, not the most sensitive thing to ask.

On Sunday, we were at Kaden's birthday party and Jack kept trying to go into their garage. I told him no a couple of times and asked, "Do you hear me?" Jack turned around, looked at me, covered his ears with his hands, and said, "I deaf." He turned around and walked into the garage.

In case you are wondering, the terrible twos are upon us.

Have any of my fellow bloggers had trouble with Blogger not notifying you of comments lately? I was looking at my blog the other day when I noticed several comments left over the past couple of weeks that I did know about. I have it set to notify me via e-mail when a comment is left, but I have not received any. Just curious.

Now that is HILARIOUS! Jack is so smart!

As far as I can tell, I've been getting all of my e-mail notifications on comments. Not sure what to tell you on that one.

What a smart, smart boy! They really do absorb everything, don't they?

I love it! I'm sure that was one of those moments where you just couldn't discipline because it was so stinking cute.

Absolutely Amy. I had to put on what I call my "neutral face," which is basically me setting my jaw and trying my hardest not to burst out laughing.

And yes Sabra, it is amazing how much they absorb. We really have to watch ourselves!
