We had about ten inches of snow last Friday (on top of a couple of inches earlier in the week). Despite it being super cold, Jack was eager to brave the elements for a chance to play in it. I told him that we could go out when it stopped snowing, which it did while he was napping. When he woke up, I asked him if he wanted to go out and play in it. He got his standard serious look and said in a deep big-boy voice, "I need my green shovel. I get my tools in the garage." So we shoveled snow for a little while.
He really wanted to walk on top of the snow and was disappointed when he kept sinking in. Good thing Santa is bringing him new snow boots for Christmas if this is what our winter is going to be like!

You need to get the boy a bigger shovel...do they make child-sized snow blowers? Maybe he'd take care of the driveway for you all winter long?
