Top Ten Most Played Song of 2008...

I had grand ambitions of closing out 2008 on my blog with a "Top Ten in Ten Days." That is, do a Top Ten list everyday for the last ten days of the year. Problem was, I couldn't really think of ten things to write lists about. Well, that and there were a couple that would have gotten me in trouble... And with grad school and my multiple jobs (and the boy) taking up a bit of my time, I didn't see many new movies or read many novels this year.
But I though I would have some fun with it anyway. So, over the next couple of days I will do a few Top Ten Lists--maybe two, maybe five. We'll see.
Oh, and I hate how list put forward the "best" of the year. Your best and my best will certainly be different. So instead, the lists I put forward will be...something else.
************************************************************************
Today's list is the Top Ten Most Played Songs list--that is, those with the highest count on my iPod/iTunes. I bought it in April or May, so it's not quite a full year's worth. You may notice a trend of whose music this is...

1. "My Name is Cheech, The Schoolbus Driver" by Cheech Marin -- 30 plays
2. "I Like to Move It" by will.i.am -- 26 plays (Since Thanksgiving!)
3. "The Hokey Pokey" by Dan Zanes and Father Goose -- 23 plays
4. "Captain Feathersword Fell Asleep on His Pirate Ship" by The Wiggles -- 16 plays
5. "Have a Happy Birthday Captain" by The Wiggles -- 15 plays
6. "Little Brown Ant" by The Wiggles -- 15 plays
7. "Henry's Underwater Big Band" by The Wiggles -- 14 plays
8. "We're Playing a Trick on the Captain" by The Wiggles -- 14 plays
9. "Wave to Wags" by The Wiggles -- 14 plays
10. "Water for the Elephants" by Dan Zanes & Friends -- 14 plays

And these numbers don't count him listening to the CDs on the way to school and back.

If you have an mp3 device (or music on your computer) what were your Top Ten?"

Great, now I have all those Wiggles songs in my head! I just got an iPod for Christmas, so I don't have a top ten, but I can say that more than half the songs I've downloaded onto it so far are Evan's!

Get the Wiggles stuck in your head? Surely not! :)
