There is a bridge that spans a narrow part of Belleville Lake that we drive over every day. Jack calls it the "Duck Bridge" because you in the winter, all the ducks congregate near it since it is generally the last place to freeze over. This was our conversation yesterday while driving over the bridge.
Jack: We going over Duck Bridge?
Me: Yes. Do you see the ducks?
J: Yes! Daddy, they eating the water!
Me: No, ducks drink water, they don't eat it.
J: What ducks eat?
Me: Hmm...fish, grass, probably corn if you fed it to them.
J: Daddy, ducks no eat corn. That yucky. Ducks eat pizza.
Me: Pizza?
J: Yes. Ducks like pizza. It their favorite.
Then today, Kate said they had this conversation while driving over the duck bridge.
K: Jack, what do ducks eat?
J: Corn.
K: Oh. They just eat corn?
J: And pizza. Ducks like pizza. It their favorite.
K: Jack, do you like pizza?
J: Yes. It my favorite.
