Well, today didn't go exactly as planned. It's taking a little longer than they thought to ween Amelie off the glucose drip. They had first thought that she would be back in our room this morning, but she has missed the sugar level cutoff a few times. She is getting really close, though. I doubt we will get her back tonight, but hopefully in the morning. If all goes well, we will get to go home sometime tomorrow. It's rough, because otherwise she seems to be healthy.
Sorry, no more pictures since she is in the Special Care Nursery. I'm kind of sad that have only four pictures of her.
Jack hasn't got to be with her, yet...and may have to keep his distance for a little while. He suddenly came down with pinkeye sometime Friday night. Gotta' love daycare.
Kate is afraid her bed, H.A.L., is after her. It has some sort of automatic adjusting feature that shifts the bed whenever the occupant shifts her weight. The thing is seriously possessed. She just barely shifts, and the crazy bed starts moving all over. Hell, she will not even be on it and it starts going. If it starts singing "Daisy Bell," I'm unplugging it.
I forgot to mention yesterday that Kate's reaction to being labor Friday afternoon was to start doing dishes. She refused to leave for the hospital until she finished them. (And no, she wouldn't let me help.)
And yes, there was gas in the CRV. I filled it up Friday right before we left.

Congratulations you guys! What a gorgeous baby girl! And such a full head of hair!! Wow! Hope you are all doing well! :)
Guess Lily really loves that Sugar drip! Can't blame her, I wouldn't mind a steady IV of sugar right now either, but I'd miss the taste of brownies. Before being transferred to Riley NICU, Chris was in the special care nursery for 12 hours, but we could take pictures of him. No visitors but parents, allowed though, at least the Fam could at the NICU. I hope you guys get Good News Soon! We can't wait for more good news and more pictures of Cuteness!
Hmm, what about a brownie IV?
Yeah, the picture thing kind of bugs me.
Technically, we are allowed to go down there "any" time. Except on shift changes and when they are doing procedures, etc., which seem to take up a lot of the time. And then there is the factor that to get fed, Kate has to order "Room Service," which can take anywhere from 25 min. to an hour. So she has to sit in her room and wait on it. All of that tends to suck up a good part of the day.
