Jack's Birthday Party

We had a nice little birthday party on Saturday for Jack.  The only people that were able to make it to the actual party were Kate's parents and my dad and stepmom. Later in the day, Kate's sister and her family came, though, and we put "fire on top of the cupcakes," again. Jack has been requesting a cupcake with fire on it for every meal since Saturday.
He had a Thomas the Tank Engine party, but Kate could not find any Thomas cake cupcake decorations so she improvised. She found a Thomas candle, and then mixed red, green, and blue food coloring into vanilla icing. If you watch/read the Thomas stories, you will know that these are the colors of the main character trains.

It turned out looking great and Jack loved it.

He kept dipping the Thomas candle in icing and licking it off.

I'll probably get in trouble for posting this image, but I find it too amusing to not share. Frankie is so optimistic that Kate's dad is going to drop that cheeseburger.

Jack's requests for his party were that there be cupcakes, balloons, and party hats. He had all three, which made for some amusing pictures of our parents wearing party hats.
