Lily Belle was not overly impressed with her first visit to the zoo. She slept most of the time we were there.Jack, of course, had a grand time.
I call this one "Three Old People and a Peacock Watching some Zebra Lovin'" The zebras were rather, uh, randy while we were there. Well, okay, one of the male zebras was. The female didn't seem so keen on the idea. Why is the peacock watching? Well, they also seemed to be a bit twitter-pated (see Bambi). Click for a larger view.
Except for this one. She seemed more interested in tempting small children to run after her.

Reminds me of the rather "randy" male elephant Kathleen and I saw chasing on a young male at the zoo last summer. Looks like Jack had a Great time, sounds like a perfect deal for a big birthday boy. Sam slept for the most part his first zoo visit too, except when he'd wake to eat, which was every hour. Amelie is growing up so fast!
