The Littlest Cubs Fan (And an Explorer to Boot)

I turned on the Cubs game the other day to listen to in the background while I played with Amelie. After awhile, I put her on her play mat so I could load the dishwasher. She suddenly became very quiet and when I looked over this is what I saw...
I guess it's never too early to teach one's children about losing and futility.

Of course, my days of laying her down to do chores is over. For the record, I never do this and go where I can't see her. But now, I can't turn my back at all. The girl is on the move. When she sees something she wants (usually a toy Jack left lying on the floor) she rolls and army crawls her way to it. Of course, her favorite destination is Jack's Lightening McQueen table.

She started on the side of the playmat closest to the camera.

She kept looking over to see if I noticed what she was doing.

This picture was taken later in the day when she went for it again. Poor girl tends to get her legs tangled in the table legs.

If this makes you feel any better, she might not be all that interested in the Cubs themselves.... it could just be the television addiction rearing its ugly head early on...
