Rainy Day at the Ho Depot Zoo

One of Jack's more amusing mispronunciations is what he calls Home Depot--Ho Depot. This weekend we decided to meet up with the Rousts at the Toledo Zoo. When we told Jack where we were going, he kept excitedly talking about going to the "Ho Depot" Zoo. I guess the word Toledo sounded too foreign so he replaced it with some place else we visit frequently. We tried explaining to him that Home Depot had nothing to do with where we were going and that it was just a regular zoo.

Turns out, Jack kind of knew what he was talking about. (I couldn't get him to stand next to the sign for anything.)

It rained most of the day we were there, but it was warm so it was not miserable at all. I don't think Jack or Elle even realized it was raining.

Of course, we did our best to keep Amelie covered up.

Jack was fascinated with fish as usual.

The little aquarium there was Amelie's favorite part, too. One tank was especially brightly lit and had Dories and Butterfly fish in it. She loved it so much that Kate and her just stayed by it while Jack and I explored the other fish.

You can get very close to the gorillas.

Elle seemed to have attached herself to Kate for the day. I didn't get the camera out in time to get a picture of Jack and Elle holding hands in the rain forest exhibit. It was pretty darn cute.

The sun came out not long before we left. Amelie was very glad since she could see more without the stroller cover blocking her view. She ended up having a great time.

That picture was a little before my camera died. And I mean going into the trash died. I think it's Colin's fault, since the last picture I took was of him and Elle. And Elle is much too pretty to break a camera.

So, there will be no new pictures for awhile. Hopefully, a new camera arrives in the mail soon but it could be next week before we get it.
