Over the past two weeks, Amelie has suddenly reached that age where it seems like she is learning how to do something new every day. At the beginning of last week, she started waving and a day later she figured out how to clap. (She loves any excuse for us to yell, "Yay!" and clap.) This is in addition to the multitude of noises she figures out everyday. I forgot how fun it is when babies learn a new noise, like a raspberry or just a consonant sound, because then they do it all the time for a couple of days.
Of course, my favorite is the post-meal lip smacking.
