Jack and His (Dead) Leaves

Jack loves picking and buying flowers for Kate. Now that it is fall, he has decided dead leaves are just as good as flowers. Every time he is outside, even just coming from or going to the car, he has to gather some off the ground. Of course, they have to immediately go into water when he brings them indoors.

After a bike ride the other day in which he gathered quite a bounty, he decided the leaves would make a good centerpiece for our kitchen table. He was quite proud and insisted Kate take pictures.

Of course, being the mean Daddy that I am, after a week I threw them away while he was at school.
