Dora Amelie the Explorer

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Amelie has escaped the living room. We have a sunken living room, which is great for baby containment. But as I discovered with Jack, as soon as that one little step is mastered it gets much harder to get anything done.

Looking back on the blog, Jack escaped at the same age, almost to the day. His first order of business, aside from exploring, was to dive into our scary Tupperware cabinet.

So was Amelie's.

Then she saw all the goodies in the pantry, which was closed as soon as this picture was taken.

I love how she bulldozes her way through anything in her way. I was able to get a bit of that on video. (As usual she is missing a sock.) As soon as I stopped filming, we moved everything off the bottom of the fridge.

Even more than the Tupperware, Amelie was thrilled to get to Jack's kitchen. Luckily, he is okay sharing it with her.
