Jack's Top Three Misheard Song Lyrics

I have mentioned a couple of these on Facebook or Tweeted about them before, but some of my loyal readers may not have seen these, so a-blogging we will go.

Everybody has songs they sing along to only to discover (usually embarrassingly) that they have been getting the words a bit mangled. Hendrix's "Foxy Lady" ('Scuse me while I kiss this guy) or CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" (There's a bathroom on the right) are classic examples.

Being very young with a developing vocabulary, Jack has had many of these mondegreens. (Look it up.)
Here are our current favorite three that he continues to sing, despite our half-hearted attempts to correct him.

1. Backyardigan's "Into the Thick of It." Jack sings "Into the Pickle Bit! Into the Pickle Bit." You can hear a bit of the song here.

2. Wonder Pet's "Theme." Jack always sings "Winny, Suck, and Ming-Ming, too." And that is what he also calls the characters. And Kate and I crack up at him calling Tuck "Suck" every time.

3. Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" Jack calls it "Single Legs." And he indeed sings "All the single Le-egs, All the single Le-egs."

(And no, I am not embedding it or putting a link to it.)

Please comment with the favorite mondegreens (yes, I used it again) of your own or your children.

The first one that pops into my head is "Row, row, row your boat, gently down the street" by Elle.

And Colin just reminded me of a hilarious one he had as a kid: Secret Asian Man!
