The Bookworm

In an effort to make tummy time more enjoyable for Jack, we have been searching for toys that would hold his interest while he lays on his front side. We have read that it is a good idea to put things just out of his reach so that he will lift his head and try to move toward them. Nothing was really working until we tried his farm book. Not only does it interest him on tummy time, it has rapidly become his favorite "toy." Whenever we put him on the floor, he looks for it and reaches for it.

The title of this post also refers to Jack's new found mobility. He has began creeping, for a lack of a better word. It is not far, but has squirmed his way right off his play quilt a few times. It is a rather funny sight, in that he looks like an inchworm or a caterpillar when he does it. He sticks his butt up in the air, reaches out and grabs on to the quilt/carpet and pulls. Sigh. Before too long, I will not be able to keep up with him.
