Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Although most major retail outlets that began preparing for the Holiday season back in September, we didn't recognize it as "that time of year" until this past week. Jack and I put up the tree while Kate was gone. Jack likes the tree, but it is just another pretty thing for him to look at. I am sure that next year the tree will start to be much more interesting to him.
Clara, on the other hand loves Christmas trees. Her two favorite days of the year are the day the tree goes up and when it comes down.

These pictures are from last year, but you get the idea.
I took 35 pictures of Jack in front of the tree in an effort to get a good one for our Christmas card. Here is the runner-up picture. Homer was jealous of all the attention Jack was getting, so he decided to pose in front of the tree too. I want this to be on our cards, but Kate says no.
You'll notice that there are no ornaments on the lower part of the tree. Between Homer's tail and Clara we can't keep anything on the tree below the second "row" of branches. That is, except for Clara's ornaments. We have these little soft sheep ornaments that I put on the bottom for her to attack. Sadly, after these have been knocked off and carried to another room, she turns her attention to the bulbs that are higher up. Damn cat.

Perhaps you could combine them somehow? But be careful that you're no charged with indecency.

I think that's the cutest picture of clara I've ever seen, too.
