Jack Meets Santa

Yikes, I forgot to put this in the last post. We did some shopping on Thursday and decided to have Jack's picture taken with Santa. He was really tired so we had trouble getting a good smile out of him. At least he continued his trend of not being afraid of anyone and did not cry. He just took it in stride that a strange fat man in a red suit with a beard held him while random women behind a camera jumped up and down, shook rattles, and made funny faces.

Looks less traumatic than the angels and devils that go around harassing children here on St. Nicholas Day (5 December). There are rumors that some kids need therapy later on because of this. But I hope Santa is a bit more friendly than St. Nicholas and his helpers (whether they be six black men or an angel and devil).

David Sedaris has a great bit on the "Six to Eight Black Men" that visit kids on Christmas in the Book Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.
