Baby on the Move

So Jack is walking...almost. He has taken his "first steps," but he has not committed himself to full-fledged walking. He usually takes four to five steps, sometimes more, before he realizes what he is doing and promptly dives into a crawl. (There is really no other way to put it. I am amazed at how his little wrists take it.) One time, though, he built up momentum and ran about ten steps. I find it amusing that he is so used to cruising sideways that half the time when he takes his steps, he goes sideways. I guess the correct term for what he does is "scuttle." Think crabs.
I thought when he took his first steps he would be obliging and do it for a camera, video or still. He has been taking a few steps here and there for a week-and-a-half or so and I have yet to get even a picture of it. Most of my picture attempts result in the top of his head from the picture taking right as he dives. Hopefully I will be able to get a video of it soon.

Wait, he just learned how to crawl, he should not be walking yet! Seriously, can't I get used to one before he even thinks about the other?

I've included some pictures of Jack in what I call his "Royal Tennenbaum outfit." (If you have seen the movie, then you will know what I mean.) The one with Homer is the closest I have come to getting a picture of him taking baby steps.
