On Discovering the Gender of Your Baby

For the most part, life has been rather cruddy lately. (Some parts have down right stunk.)
It's been all too easy to get down.

But it has been even easier to get cheered up, thanks to Jack and Peanut. As aggravating as a toddler can be--and boy can Jack be aggravating--he has the ability to make me smile and laugh no matter what. (Stories and Jack quotes from this past weekend camping at the tractor show to come soon...)

So far, Peanut is proving to have the same affect. (Or "e"ffect? Damn grammar.) Just seeing the ultrasound this morning made my heart melt. And knowing the gender made me amazingly happy. Of course, I would have been happy either way, but when the ultrasound tech. told us, it just seemed right.

This baby was way more cooperative than Jack when it came to showing everything they needed to see. Jack was rather stubborn...and I guess he still is.

Hopefully, his little sister is this cooperative after she is born.

Congrats to the whole family! In France, they call having one of each "le choix du roi"--but don't let it go to your head!

So Isolde it is. :)

I like you was excited either way. Well if your kids are like my brothers then the 2nd will be twice as difficult. :)

Yeah! I'm a little biased, but I think girls are pretty darn great! Plus, there are so MANY adorable little girl clothes, even more than little boy clothes! Can't wait to read more about this little darling!

Congrats! Very exciting.
And the English teacher in me feels the need to let you know that the word you were looking for is "effect." :)
