Okay, so I was hopin' to have a little more interaction with my Top Ten lists, which has not happened. (You slacker readers.) So I'm pandering a bit and making this one about Peanut.
She has a first name. And a nickname--that's not Peanut. But we can't, uh, agree on a middle name. Since we have received a whole lot of (unsolicited) advice from people (often complete strangers) on what they think we should name her, I will let you, the readers, offer what you think the middle name should be. If enough people participate, I will make a top ten list from the results.
And yes, I know, the middle name often depends on the first name--Kate has a very strict list of rules about how the names should flow together--but I'm not telling. Yet.

I must have missed something. Just what is the first name that the middle name is supposed to go with?
Oooh I'll help when I see the list...
I've heard a lot of people say that strangers give them name advice. I guess it's the good thing about being incredibly indecisive and waiting until the last second to actually pick a name. LOL
Baby is due exactly 3 months from today (4/3/09) and we have narrowed it down to a top 10 list for boy names and a top 10 list for girl names. I hope to get it down to 3-5 names on each list within the next month or two.
Okay I get it, you just aren't telling yet. Well I like the middle name of Janelle for one.
I'll add Susanne, Danielle and Nicole. ( I made up a first name that goes with all these!) when do we get to know the first name? These may sound dumb with the name you have picked out!
Oh I see, I'm supposed to add names I like. Okay, got it. Here they are: Nicole, Grace, Rose, Marie, Elizabeth, and Michelle are all middle names we've discussed as our favorites.
I like Grace and Anne. Can't wait to hear what the 1st name is!
Get ready for a deluge of comments... when I did a "name that baby" post when I was pregnant with Shay, I was shocked at how many stealth readers came out of the woodwork. :) My girls' middle names are Elizabeth and Grace, both of which we're very happy with.
i'd have to go with nicole :p
not sure who the Anonymous is that suggested Janelle, but that's my sister's first name...unique, particularly spelled that way (there are several spellings, and really they're all pretty unique)...but I would suggest that since Jack has middle names that are family names, that you pick something along those lines. My cousins went with the age-old naming conventions of first son named after paternal grandfather, first daughter after maternal grandmother, second daughter after paternal grandmother (you get the picture, but they only had three - and the last was really a name they like with the same initials).
Jen Claudy
AMETHYST
I like Lily, but it's hard to choose without knowing the first name!
I like the suggestion that Andrea had of using Grace, but that might not be to the likes of a couple of heathens like you! ;) lol
I had a pretty good idea for a name when I was falling asleep the other night, but of course, I can't remember it now. Sigh.
Maybe you can tell us how many syllables are in the first name, and how many syllables you want in the middle name? Or what the meaning of the first name is, so that we could pair it with something logical?
Hmmm, alright Amy. The first name has three syllables.
Just read the list of the 100 top baby names for 2008. Here are my picks for middle name: Isabelle, Nevaeh, Paige, Samantha. Here's the link, if you're interested: http://www.babycenter.com/top-baby-names-2008.
Amethyst x 2
no offense but I didn't like any of them in the last two posts.
Ok I'll try this again...I like Lillian (Lilly) Rose..don't you :)
