Well, I am done with classes. No, not done for a few weeks to go again in the fall. No, not starting another degree in a year. I'm done. (Well, until Kate decides to let me get a PhD Someday In The Future. Distant Future.)
Yes, Joe who is perpetually a student, has graduated from Wayne State with a(nother) Masters degree. Kate is not quite sure what to make of it. She said that she is so used to me always being a student that it hasn't sunk in that I am done. I think my family is a wee bit sceptical, too.
But really, I'm done! And I'm employable, so I will job hunting. Of course, I picked a great economical time to be on the market for a music library job. But I am also qualified to work in other types of library positions, so it's all good.
Suggestions on how to celebrate?

Congrats on finishing and getting back to the important blog updates. Good luck with the job hunt!
Congratulations! It's great! I wish the kids had gotten to see you at your grandma's this weekend, but maybe there will be a chance soon. I know Tina really wants to see amelie and Jack - and you and Kate too.

Congratlations! We celebrated by taking a big family vacation in the middle of everybody else's school year...because we could. So happy you're done, hope you find something soon...maybe down here?
Congrats! I can't imagine you not being a student, Joe. So much leisure time is ahead for you!
How to celebrate? One word: mojitos!
Congratulations -- it's been a rough journey, but you did it!
