Jack's "Section"

When we lived in Michigan, our house was arranged in such a way that it was easy for Jack to play with his toys and not be bothered by Amelie--even after she began crawling. It's a little trickier in this house, and of course she wants to be in everything Jack has. Not only is this a problem because of small choking hazard toys, but Jack likes to arrange his cars in very particular ways. Babyzilla does not get this.

A couple of weeks ago, I finally was able to arrange things so that Jack could have his own little private area and not be disturbed. (Well, until Amelie figures out how to climb over the ottomans.) There is a bar in the basement that I was able to squeeze his toy box into and then block off with our "cubes." He has been very, very excited about his little play area, which he named his "section."

Here you can see him right before bedtime, working hard on his city. The papers to the left are the parking lots. He has me draw lines on them so the cars have places to park.
