Weekend in Oberlin Part 2

(Okay, there were so many pictures, it was easier to break this up into three posts.)

Saturday, we went to the Cleavland Zoo. It was really, really hot and muggy but we still managed to have fun. Amelie seems to get more interested every time we go. That night, Kate and Amy went out while Colin and I stayed home with the kids. They were so tired, they mostly just sat and stared at the TV.

My two pretty girls.

We always have to do the obligatory picture of the kids sitting on animal statues. For some reason, though, Jack thought this camel was very cool. He sat on it for a long time.

I think Jack and Elle are looking at a Gorilla...but I am mostly amused that Donkey had to look, too.

They are quite a pair.

Do you know how hard it is to get these two to smile in the same picture? (I have no idea what Colin finds so amusing.)

Jack was excited to go see some butterflies. He adores them. (No, we did not make it to the Krohn Observatory here in Cinti to see them, though we had hoped to.)

Amelie called them "Butt-fies." Sadly, she has gotten better at saying it and now calls them "Buh-rrfies"

I felt bad for the giraffes. They really wanted to drink out of this pool, but it was hard for them to reach. We could hear them slurping it.

It started getting so hot that we all started wilting. The second picture below was taken all of 15 seconds after the first.

"Really? You are taking our pictures when we are tired, sweaty, and all gross?"

Amelie and Elle (or "Elwe" as Amelie called her) were pretty cute together. Except in this picture, I'm not sure what is up with my daughter's "thug baby" look.
