Weekend in Oberlin Part I

We went up to visit our good friends the Rousts this past weekend. Jack had been requesting to go see Elle for awhile, and Elle had been as well. (Plus, we just really wanted to see Colin and Amy.)

We all had a great time. We stayed busy and completely wore out the kids. As tired as they all were by, oh, Friday night, they were all well behaved and got along great.

On Friday morning we went to the Memphis Kiddie Park. It was a very cool little place with a bunch of midway rides only for kids under 50". Jack and Elle could ride everything they wanted, which was a nice change of pace from a lot of fairs and carnivals. Also, since it was only for little kids we did not have to worry about big kids running over Jack, which is usually what happens.

That evening, Colin and I went out to dinner at the Great Lakes Brewery, while Kate and Amy took the kids for a bike ride. This was a great treat for me as I love their beer. And it was relatively cheap drinking it where it was made!

I forgot to charge the camera battery before we left, so I did not get many good pictures.

Jack was nice and let Elle take the front seat of the rocket. (If you have access to Amy's blog, you can see how much fun Elle was having.)

Amelie was still too small for all of the rides except the carousel. For some reason, she completely freaked out and started screaming on it. Poor girl.
Jack is all about the forced "cheese" smile now.

I wish I had got a decent picture of the two of them in the little horse buggies. They made quite the cute little preschooler couple.
