*Last night's dinner conversation*
Kate: Jack, what did you do in recess today?
Jack: Oh, we played Batman again.
K: Were you Batman?
J: No, I'm never Batman. I'm always Robin.
K: Why are you always Robin?
J: Because, he is cool! He has a beak and goes around pecking people.
Me: Huh? Wait a minute. Robin does not have a beak.
J: [The "you're pretty dumb for a Dad" eye roll] Of course he does, Daddy!
K: Jack...Robin is not a bird.
J: Yes he is. Robins are birds.
K: But...Batman's friend Robin is just a person.
J: So, he dresses up as a bird.
Me: No, he just wears tights, a mask, and a cape. Sometimes.
J: [Big sigh] Robins. Are. Birds. Why would he be called Robin and not dress up like a bird?
Me: I think we have some Batman to watch...

Check out Batman:Brave and the Bold. It's our favorite: witty, and not really scary. Though in Jack's defense, I will say the Chris O'Donnell Robin looked more the bird as say Burt Ward.
