A Todder's Slight Double Standard

Really, I want this blog to be more than a daily "look how funny Jack is." But the boy is way too clever for me and I feel that I can't not write about his antics.

Remember a while back when I wrote about his logic that we can't be sad or mad when we are around him because, "You happy you with your Jack!"?
Well, this has since become his standard comeback to any statement Kate and I make about a negative mood.
Mad? No, happy with Jack.
Tired? No, happy with Jack.
Stubbed Toe? No, happy with Jack.
Poor sick pregnant woman? "You not sick, you happy you with your Jack!"
Poor pregnant woman with a hurting back? "You back not hurt, you happy you with your Jack!"
(Luckily, Kate has me to complain to.)

Kate found out the other day that this does not work with him, though. He was being an all around terrible two, and Kate asked him if he was grumpy.
"Yes!," he yelled back.
"You're not grumpy, you're happy you're with your Mommy!" Kate thought she had him, but...
"No, I just grumpy and mad."
